DoIT Goals for 2001-2002
- Successfully integrate Client Services, LAN/Desktop Support and Mason
Media Lab in the DoIT organization and build collaborative structures with
other ITU divisions and departments.
- Continue to enhance our support for the TAC initiative.
- Participate actively in the implementation of Academic IV and develop
organizational strategies for technology support services to be ready for the
transition.
- Improve our use of students in the organization, including more
collaborative development of policies and procedures across the DoIT units and
exploration of additional ways that we could use students in support roles.
- Improve mechanisms for feedback and evaluation from clients and for
informing the University community about what we learn from the feedback.
- Work with the rest of the ITU to develop disaster recovery plans for each
unit and a communication plan to help effectively disseminate information
during a crisis situation.
